2017 Volunteer crew

Applications are now open to volunteer with us at the festival this year! It is only 12 hours work for a free ticket & food, and all the bragging rights with your mates about how we could not be operating without your help!

We have three roles we are hiring for:

* Stewards *

This will involve two 6 hour shifts over the weekend on a 24hr rota. You will be working in pairs, and will have the opportunity closer to the event to pick your shift pattern or else we will assign you shifts in advance so you will know when you are working before you arrive on site.
There are a number of different roles you may be involved in; wristband checks, guarding tents, crowd control, or just generally being the eyes and the ears of the festival. You will be pumped full of information so you can answer the varied (some important, some just ridiculous) questions of your fellow campers, and will be in radio contact with event production and security should you need them!
For each shift worked you will receive a meal voucher, and of course you get a crew wristband allowing you into the hallowed and exciting backstage areas!! (They aren’t really that exciting but you can meet big time celebrities such as Captain Hotknives and do things like charge your phone etc)

* Litter Pickers *

You guys will do three 4 hour shifts, Saturday – Monday morning 9am – 1pm. The job is pretty self-explanatory, for those that haven’t guessed it involves picking up rubbish and making the site look nice! You will be working in a large team clearing the floor on the venues and main festival area so that we aren’t dancing on a floor of plastic bottles. We provide you with gloves, bin bags, and coffee (its 9am, we wouldn’t expect you to work without coffee!). You also get a meal voucher for each shift worked, and of course a crew wristband.

* After-Event Litter Pickers *

Don’t want to miss a second of the festival? This is the job for you! This job starts on Monday (5th June) where you would work 9am – 5pm, and Tuesday 9am – 1pm. You will be in a large team and we need to literally clear the site, every last scrap needs to be picked up. We have lots of fun after the event though; there is lots of discarded stuff to find, the remainder of the bar to drink, and we will feed you well. You will of course get a crew wristband for the festival.

All the roles require a £105 deposit to ensure you turn up for your shifts, sorry to have to do this but people not turning up for their shifts really effects us and is something we have suffered from in the past couple of years.

Deposits will be paid via Google Wallet, its like Paypal but doesn’t cost us to receive your money, which is just lovely! Deposits will be refunded as soon as possible, but within two weeks after the festival provided you complete your shifts.
